Non-Negotiables for Students

The non-negotiables of a LAR lesson for students are outlined in our Establishing Excellence in Lessons posters which are found in each classroom.

Students should be reminded of these when necessary to ensure they are fulfilling these every lesson, everyday.

The non-negotiables of a LAR lesson are outlines in the Procedural and Pedagogical aspects of our Establishing Excellence Steps.

All staff are expected to embed these within their lessons to ensure consistency for students across all subject disciplines.

LAR Slides

We have generic slides with a dyslexic friendly open sans font and cream background.

In addition we have generic icons for elements of our MYP that all staff are expected to use.

We have developed these slides to ensure consistency in our slide design to reduce cognitive load.

All students are expected to start lessons by copying down the Title, LO and full date, underlined in red pen.
