Please ensure you remember your child's collection password that you provided the Academy when your child started with us. If another adult collects your child on your behalf and they are not on the collection arrangements list, the Class Teacher or TA will be asking for the child's collection password. If they are not on the list and do not have the pupil's password, the Academy will contact the parent/carer of the child to confirm collection arrangements (which can cause a delay in your child being collected, especially if we are not able to contact you).
If you need to contact the Primary with regards to different collection arrangements for your child on the day, as the adult who is collecting is not on your list to collect, please ensure you inform the adult collecting of your child's collection password. To ensure we can pass this information on in good time before collection time, please email or inform us as soon as you are aware that a different adult is collecting. For any requests made after 2.30pm, we can not guarantee your message will be passed onto the class teacher in time before collection.
Please be aware that any person collecting children must be in Year 10 or above.
Our aim is to ensure that the young people of the Peninsula are safe, as part of this we need your help in keeping them safe when they are heading to and from school.
Parking restrictions are put in place around schools to give good visibility allowing pedestrians to see to cross the road.
To ensure this, please be responsible, following the restrictions, such as not stopping on the zig-zags around the schools, being mindful of your speed and making sure that your child is visible, as the nights get darker.
We will be around the schools at various points, so please come and say hello.
PCs Richard JONES and Josh WATERMAN”
If there is anything we can help you with, then please contact either of us via email Richard.jones@kent.police.uk or Joshua.waterman@kent.police.uk
If you have any spare academy uniform that your child has grown out of, the Academy will be happy to take any donations of your hands. The academy is running low of spare uniform in older ages (age 10+). Thank you for your continued support!
Don't forget to book your child's meals online via ParentPay. The cut off time is 08:00 on the day. We do advise you book your child's meals at least a week in advance. If your child is not free school meals, all meals must be paid for in advance.
Don't forget to label all of your child's Academy uniform items. So if your child does lose anything, we can then help locate the item easily for you.
Please ensure you keep the Academy up to date with your contact details. If you need to amend your details, please ensure update them via your MCAS app.
Don't forget to keep an eye out on your child's MCAS account if you have applied for a waiting list for an after school club. Once a space in a club becomes available for your child on the waiting list, they will be allocated a space. You can keep up to date under the Clubs tab on your MCAS account.
Don't forget to log into your child's MCAS account to have full access to our recent communication sent, key dates for the academic year, important documents, school reports and much more.
Please note that all communication will be posted online on your MCAS account and emails will no longer be sent to you unless necessary. This will allow you to have full access of all communication in one place, will prevent emails from getting lost and is much easier to use. We have already had positive feedback from some parents/carers on how well this system is and how easy it is to access all information in one place.
If you require your login details to be reset for you, please email the Primary Office at primaryoffice@hundredofhoo.latrust.org.uk.
Please ensure you allow MCAS notifications on your device(s), so you are informed when an 'Announcement' has been added for your information.
Please see the link on the right on how to use your MCAS account: MCAS Parental Guide
Note: What will be displayed in these MCAS options is dependent on the school. Therefore not all of these options may be visible to you.
Thank you all for your cooperation.
