Shakespeare Unit
Week of 1/27-1/31
Student will spend Monday and Tuesday studying Shakespeare's life & the eras of his work
Students will spend Wednesday and Thursday breaking down basic Shakespeare terminology and using them in place of todays colloquialisms.
Students begin translating a song of their choosing, and my approval, and Shakespeare-ify it. This will be performed the following week for a formative grade- not sang, spoken.
Week of 2/3-2/7
Monday: Complete Shakespeare-ifying a song
Tuesday: Present song
Wednesday: Students are assigned a Sonnet, must translate each line, begin rehearsing the sonnet.
Thursday-Friday: Rehearse sonnet. Sonnet does not have to be memorized

Monday: Continue rehearsing sonnet
