Good afternoon everyone,
This is the final Bulletin for this school year. It’s hard to believe that another school year will soon come to a close. The end of the year is always an exciting time for students as they wrap up courses, get ready for all the fun that Hudson has to offer in June, and finally, prepare for summer holidays. Please enjoy this month's Bulletin.
Looking back at May
Spring Fever, May 12th – May 16th. Although this was delayed for a week, some students took advantage of the activities offered to them. Students enjoyed a fun break and an opportunity to relax a bit during school hours.
University Alumni Panel, Thursday, May 15th. Hudson welcomed 6 alumni to speak at our annual Alumni Panel for Grade 11 and 12 students. The event was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and hear about their post-secondary journeys! Students gained valuable insights on everything from campus life and academics to switching programs and landing internships. We're already looking forward to next year's panel!
Cultural Day, Friday, May 16th. Staff and students came together to enjoy student presentations from a wide variety of cultures celebrated here at Hudson. Many of our students participated by presenting their culture to the rest of the school through Kiosk styled stations, serving a wonderful celebration of food from around the world, and finally through some fun and exciting performances. Thank you to all who helped make this day a great success!
SSAF U20 Girls soccer Championships Wednesday, May 28th. Congratulations to our Girls Soccer team who placed second at the final tournament. The team had a great tournament and fought hard in a very close final game! Way to go team! Great job!
Midterm, Thursday, May 29th. Teachers will be preparing midterm report cards soon. Parents, you can expect a message from the school soon regarding access to the midterm reports.

Senior Sleepover, Thursday, June 12th. It's been a long time coming, but graduation is just around the corner for our class of 2025! To kick off their last two weeks of school as they prep for exams and their futures after Hudson, we're hosting a special event, just for them. On June 12th we'll have the Senior Sleepover! Students will start their evening at 7:00 at Playtime Bowl for bowling and laser tag, and then will return to the school for a night of food and fun the way only Hudson does it! We've got everything from a drive-in movie to plasma bike races! As a bonus, they'll get the day off the following Friday, June 13th after breakfast!
Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15th. We wish a Happy Father’s Day to all Hudson community fathers. Hoping you have a great day!
June Day, Friday June 20th. We'll be having a BBQ and some fun and games exclusively for our high school students to celebrate the end of the school year, and then we'll be ending the day early so students can start studying for exams!
As such, much of our afternoon will be outside on the back field. We would love it if students came prepared with sunblock and hats if they feel they'll need them (but they can only be worn outdoors!). We also ask that they bring their own water bottles so that they can fill up and keep hydrated (there's a dunk tank and water balloons involved, so there will be plenty of water to share!
For lunch, there is no cost, and students are of course welcome to bring their own lunches. In planning, we've done our best to accommodate a diversity of dietary needs. To that end, burgers are 100% beef, and hot dogs will be 100% chicken. While we have vegan burger options, these will be provided to those who indicate a necessary dietary restriction. Finally, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that the buns are made free from allergens, and we do not have any gluten-free options.
If you know your student will be participating in the BBQ lunch, and they ALSO get Hot Lunch through the Huskies Kitchen, please remember to cancel your order via the Quickschools parent portal in advance of June 20th if you know your child will not be picking up their Hot Lunch. Thank you for helping us reduce food waste!
After all the food, fun, and games, students will be dismissed at 2:30 to head home!
Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony Thursday, June 26th. This year’s Grad Ceremony will be held at The Eglinton Grand once again. New Faculty
I am happy to announce two new staff additions for the upcoming school year. Please help us welcome Sayi Panadiker and Pawel Wilczynski to Hudson College. Pawel Wilczynski will join our team as an English/Drama teacher, and Sayi Panadiker will be teaching French.
We would also like to thank Ms. Megan Gilbreath and Ms. Shelley Ross-Chaderton for their service at Hudson and wish them all the best in their new adventures.
I am thrilled and very eager to begin my new role as Upper School Principal this year. Teachers and support staff are all ready to go as well. We look forward to working in partnership with our parent community.
Have a great long weekend and enjoy the rest of the summer.
Thank you,
Frank
