Logging In: Add Profile

One way for students to access their work is to create a user profile on Google Chrome for their school account.

THE PROCESS BELOW IS A SAFE WAY TO AVOID INTERMINGLING PERSONAL AND SCHOOL ACCOUNT INFORMATION!! NEVER LOG INTO YOUR EMAIL UNDER SOMEONE'S CHROME ACCOUNT.


Add a person or profile

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click Profile. (This icon might be a picture)

  3. Click + Add or Manage People depending on what appears on your screen.

    1. If asked to enter a name, type your school username and pick a picture.

    2. Click ADD on the bottom of the window. A new window will open.

  4. At the top right, click Profile.

    1. Click the blue "turn on sync" button.

  5. On the box that appears, log in with school email address and password. After you log in, a box will appear asking you to "Link Data". Click LINK DATA. You must choose this option.

    1. School bookmarks will appear on the bookmarks bar after a few moments. Please do not add new bookmarks without teacher direction, do not change profile picture or change Chrome background.

  6. Choose Yes I’m In on the Turn on Sync box.

Switch to another person or profile

When multiple people are sharing the computer (or you are using a personal Google account on the same computer), follow the directions below to switch between Chrome profiles (accounts) to avoid mixing bookmarks, passwords, etc.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click Profile .

  3. Choose the person or profile you want to switch to from the drop down list.
