Protection Plan Overview For Grades 5-12
Parents of students in grades 5-12 have the option to purchase a Protection Plan for the Chromebook to cover repair and replacement costs if the device is accidentally damaged or stolen. The Protection Plan is non-transferable and non-refundable. Once purchased, coverage is in effect from the day the device is received through the last day of the 2024-2025 school year.
The cost of the optional Protection Plan for the 2024-2025 school year is $45.00
For students who enroll after the midpoint of the school year, the protection plan is reduced to $22.50
While there is no cost for the use of the Chromebook, it is imperative that student maintains and handles the device in a responsible way.
The Protection Plan does NOT cover misuse, neglect or intentional damage. Students will be responsible for the entire cost of repairs or replacement to devices damaged through student misuse, neglect, or intentional damage.
The Protection Plan does NOT cover any damages to a device if the protective case has been removed.
The Protection Plan does cover accidental damages to power adapters and protective cases.
The Protection Plan does cover accidental damages to loaner devices and other accessories that are issued to the student in the event that their Chromebook is under repair.
The Protection Plan only covers stolen devices if an official police report is submitted to your child’s Tech Hub.
The Protection Plan does NOT cover lost protective cases or chargers.
The Protection Plan covers TWO separate incidents per school year; any costs associated with additional damages after two incidents are the responsibility of the family.
If you do NOT purchase the Protection Plan, you are responsible to pay for the cost of any repair(s) for physical damage to the student’s device, protective cases, power adapter and any loaner devices that are issued to the student.
