Positive Behavior Tickets

Super Students

Along with earning green cards to choose from the treasure box, the students can also earn positive behavior tickets throughout the day as well. (This is separate from the school wide ticket system.) I feel that the students need to be recognized more often for their positive behavior throughout the day, rather than just at the end of the day with a green card. Therefore, the students can earn tickets for following directions, listening, being a kind friend, walking quietly in the hallway, lining up quietly and so forth. When your child earns 10 or more tickets, he or she may turn in his or her tickets by 9:00 and then choose from the treasure box. The treasure box has 3 boxes that are labeled 10 tickets, 15 tickets and 20 tickets.

Along with earning the tickets the students can lose a ticket throughout the day as well, therefore making your child responsible for his or her behavior. For minor behavior problems, I may ask for a ticket back rather than changing the student’s behavior color. However, if your child does not have a ticket, he or she will have to move his or her turtle to yellow or lose 5 minutes of recess. Your child needs to keep his or her tickets at school. I will provide your child with a plastic sandwich bag to keep his or her tickets in. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you so much for all your help!!
