ParentVue

One of the best things that ever happened to middle school- fully informed parents!Gone are the days of solely relying upon your student to communicate with you about how they are doing in school.  ParentVue helps families stay informed about their student's progress in school. Through ParentVue, you have access to your student's attendance, grades, assignments and may also communicate with teachers with questions.
If you need to set up your ParentVue account, contact Raven Bolinger in the counseling center for your activation code. (503) 844-1586.

Overwhelmed by your student's math homework?

With the adoption of Common Core Standards, the rigor in mathematics has dramatically increased from what most parents remember about middle school math.  Twenty years ago, what students learned in high school Algebra 1 is now taught in Math 7 and Math 8.  What students learned in Algebra 2, is now taught in Algebra 1. If you need a refresher or help helping your student, check out the CPM website- (in the Homework Help you can click on "hints" for solving math problems).

Facts For Families Guide

An amazing resource for parents, guardians or any adult working with children and teens from the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Not all children grow from infancy through their adolescent years without experiencing some bumps along the way. While every child is unique and special, sometimes they encounter emotions, feelings or behavior that cause problems in their lives and the lives of those around them. Families often worry when their child or teenager has difficulty coping with things, feels sad, can't sleep, gets involved with drugs, or can't get along with family or friends.
AACAP's Facts for Families provide concise and up-to-date information on issues that affect children, teenagers, and their families. AACAP provides this important information as a public service and the Facts for Families may be duplicated and distributed free of charge as long as the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is properly credited and no profit is gained from their use.
