Creating a Noodle Tools Account & Sharing with an Inbox
Monday
To Do:
A. The first research skill we need to master in 10th grade is how to use Noodle Tools to assist us in doing research. Today we are going to start by creating a Noodle Tools account, creating a project, sharing it with your teacher's inbox, and adding 1 primary source (book). I will walk you through the steps in class and if for some reason you miss anything, please refer to the first video tutorial (left column). This is a graded assignment that needs to be completed right NOW during class (See GClassroom #41).
You will need to know High Point's Username & Password to when you first sign-up. They are as follows:

Inbox Name: English 10B Period 5 OMM
B. Any time left must be used to complete the IXL Assignment (GClassroom #40 ) which is due on Thursday!
C. If you have finished A & B, please go to Freerice.com and work on vocabulary skills!

To Do:
A.Today we are going to show everyone how to access and complete a basic search for some articles on the High Point Databases. We will also demonstrate how to export the source information from each database to your Noodle Tools Project that you created on Monday. If for some reason you miss anything, please refer to the video tutorials for each of the databases below. You can also refer to the Wednesday To Do instructions to the right.
The Databases we are going to access directly using the High Point subscriptions are:

SIRS
Scholastic Go
We will walk through how to access, search, and export a source from each of these sources onto your NoodleTools project.
B. Any time remaining should be spent completing IXL Assignment #40 or on Freerice.com practicing vocabulary skills.

To Do:
A.Today we are going to show everyone how to access and complete a basic search for 4 articles on the internet. We will also demonstrate how to add the source information from these websites to your Noodle Tools Project that you created on Monday. If for some reason you miss anything, please refer to Thursday To Do directions to the right. Today's classwork is worth 20 points. (See GClassroom Assignment #42)
B. Now that you have 9 sources in NTools, we are going to ask you to select 1 of the 8 articles you found, read it, and write a paragraph summary of what the article is about. You will place this paragraph in Noodle Tools directly attached to the specific source. This will be demonstrated in class.
C. Any time remaining should be spent completing IXL Assignment #40 (due today) or on Freerice.com practicing vocabulary skills.
