Seussical, the Musical brings some of our best loved children’s stories to life with creativity in this high energy musical. The story centers around Horton the Elephant who finds himself with a very important job to do. With songs like “Oh, the Thinks you can Think” and “Alone in the Universe”, the Cat in the Hat leads the audience and characters through this enthusiastic and endearing musical reminding us what friendship is all about. Many fun-loving male and female actors ages 13 and up are required for this production, with a few roles for 10-12 year old males.
The curtain opens on the sinister interior of the workhouse with a bare dining table, engaging you in the despair that Oliver! dramatizes. Follow the ever-optimistic Oliver through adversity and triumph as he meets memorable characters such as Artful Dodger, Fagin, Bill Sikes, and Nancy. Based on the Charles Dickens’ tale of Oliver Twist, the musical features a sensational score including ”Food, Glorious Food”, “I'd Do Anything”, “Consider Yourself”, and ”As Long As He Needs Me”. This unforgettable story of a boy seeking a place to call home will be portrayed in HPA’s family-friendly style with actors age 10 and older (although there are limited roles for actors under 13).
The spunky and lovable orphan Annie charms her way into hearts as she dodges the clutches of the orphanage’s cruel mistress, Miss Hannigan.
