Visual learners: You learn best through images, videos, diagrams, maps, infographics, and so much more.
Grab yourself some highlighters & try out colour coding/organisation. This could be helpful when you're analysing a text in English or History.
Use mind maps or flow charts to memorise material. Whiteboards are fantastic for this!
Auditory learners: You learn best through listening to explanations, reading aloud, or having discussions.
Record yourself reciting your notes/quotes and listen to it leading up to your exam. It's like a podcast!
Put on your teaching cap and explain your content to your friends, whanau, or even just the wall.
Reading/Writing learners: You learn best through intepreting written words and taking notes, whether it be in the form of essays, lists, answering questions, etc.
Try rephrasing notes in your own words, using relevant summaries, bullet points, headings, etc...
Look at and complete some of NZQA's past papers. The answers are available too!
Kinesthetic learners: You learn best through hands-on activities, physical involvement, and movement.
Create and use flashcards! Get your friends to test you and move around the room.
Try physically demonstrating your notes. Perhaps in the form of role-playing a scenario or even drawing on a whiteboard.
