The Howick College Academic Council offers a Study Centre and tutoring options for students of all year levels and needs.
Whether you require regular help or just a few pointers, tutors are available for one-off or ongoing sessions.
The Study Centre also provides a quiet space for independent work.
This service is available in A4 at interval and lunchtime each day.
Student Tutors are fellow students who have shown strong skills in specific subjects and are ready to help you succeed. Here’s how it works:
Book a Session: You can sign up for a tutoring session in the subject you need help with, using the google form (Link) - Please note that Students must use their school email to book. Parents and caregivers cannot book on their behalf.
One-on-One: Tutors work with you individually, so you get focused support tailored to your needs.
Peer Support: Because tutors are students like you, they understand the challenges and can explain concepts in ways that make sense.
Guidance and Tips: Tutors don’t just give answers, they guide you through problems, share study strategies, and help build your confidence.
Flexible Times: Sessions are scheduled at times that fit around your school day and other commitments.
Using Student Tutors is a great way to get extra help, clarify tricky topics, and improve your study skills in a friendly, supportive environment.
We are always in need of more volunteers! Please fill in this form .
