Course Description

The Hospitality and Tourism class will provide an overview of the current hospitality and tourism industry. They learn about traveler motivation and consumer needs and how these factors affect current offerings in the lodging, food and beverage, travel, tourism, and recreation segments. Finally, students learn the basics of selling and marketing in tourism.

  • Design a theme park: using all of the industries together in a showcase of how the different industries work together.

  • Plan a Vacation: career of travel agent, travel websites and apps, Planning a trip for "clients"

  • Culture Studies: research other US regions and Countries to explore travel expectations and experiences while visiting. Create a Travel Guide for the area.
