Padlet
Think of Padlet as an electronic bulletin board where you can share the knowledge you gain during your research.
Padlet Basics
Go to
https://padlet.com/
Click “Sign up”...it’s free, or “Log in” if you have an account
Select your sign up method and press “Sign up”
You only get 3 Padlets for free
Click “+ Make a Padlet” (upper left)
Canvas will probably work best. It allows you to move items when you add them. Click “Select” under Canvas.
The canvas will open with a wallpaper, title and description already added.
To edit, go to the pane on the right and make your changes.
PRESS SAVE or it will not save!
If the side panel doesn’t open, press the setting gear icon in the upper right.
To add a “note”, click on in the lower right corner or double click on the wallpaper
Within a “note” you can use the tool menu
Upload items from your computer
Hyperlink items
Link a pic or video address to get it to appear
Search Google
Take a pic using the computer’s camera
Use the more icon to see the full list of options
To Edit an entry just click on it and a tool menu will appear
Click the pencil to edit
Click the trashcan to delete
Click the more icon to get other options
Make sure to invite your partners and your teacher
Press Share (upper right)
Under Add contributors enter an email address
Give them the proper editing rights (probably “Can write”)
Press Add
Make sure to press Save once you have added all contributors or it will not save.
