Google Drawing Basics on the Chromebook

1. Log into the Chromebook
2. Open Drive
3. Click on +New (left side)
4. Click on More
5. Select Google Drawings

6. A blank canvas will open

7. Change the title

8. Optional: Change the page size (File>Page setup>Select one of the preset options or create a custom size)

9. Work within the Insert Menu

1. Image
2. Text box
3. Shape
4. Table
5. Chart
6. Diagram
7. Word art
8. Line
9. Link (not needed for this assignment)

10. Insert a video

1. Find the video URL
2. Insert it in a Google Slide
3. Once it is inserted, right click on the video
4. Press Copy
5. Go into Google Drawing and right click on the background
6. Press Paste. The video should appear

11. Masking tool (Click on image>down arrow to right of crop icon>select shape)

12. Change the background (right click on the background>select Background>try solid or gradient)

***Can download and print as a pdf (File>Download as>PDF document)

***Can download as a JPEG and add it to a Slides presentation

Step 1: In Drawing - File>Download as>JPEG Image

Step 2: In Slides - Click on the slide where you want the image>Insert>Image>find the image>Insert it into the presentation
