Welcome back, Twain Readers! I hope you had an amazing summer and are ready to embark on a new journey filled with learning, exploration, and imagination. I am thrilled to have you back in the library!
This summer, I had some incredible adventures. I traveled to Greece for 10 days with my daughter's middle school, and it was such a beautiful country full of ancient history. Additionally, I attended the IB World Conference in Washington, DC, alongside other Mark Twain teachers. I love learning more about the International Baccalaureate program and how the library can support our IB learning goals.
This is my fourth year as the Twain librarian, and I truly love my job. I enjoy working with our enthusiastic readers, collaborating with the dedicated staff, and being part of a supportive community of parents.
Students will continue to visit the library in various ways. Some will come through Specials rotation, while others will have scheduled class visits. I hope all students will have the chance to experience our hands-on Makerspace!
As we dive into this new school year, remember that the library is not just a place to find books; it’s a sanctuary for learning, growth, and friendship. Please feel free to approach me with any reading recommendations, research inquiries, or even just to chat about your favorite stories.
Let’s make this year unforgettable by diving into the pages of books and embracing the endless possibilities that the Makerspace has to offer. Here’s to a fantastic year filled with knowledge, creativity, and endless literary adventures! I can't wait to see all of you bustling around the library once again!
Warmest Wishes,
