When a student turns 18 in Massachusetts, they reach the “age of majority.” Legally, students are considered adults when they reach the age of majority and have decision making authority. One year prior to a student's 18th birthday students in Hopkinton will receive and sign an Age of Majority Form which informs them of their rights upon reaching age 18. At age 18 students will receive and sign a decision making form.
