MRC helps individuals with disabilities to live and work independently. MRC is responsible for Vocational Rehabilitation, Community Living and eligibility determination for the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) federal benefits programs.
Who Is eligible ? Individuals must have a disability as defined by an impairment in cognitive skills, mental, emotional or learning or physical- that causes substantial barriers to employment.

The Department of Mental Health, as the State Mental Health Authority, assures and provides access to services and supports to meet the mental health needs of individuals of all ages; enabling them to live, work and participate in their communities.
Who is eligible? DMH services are available to anyone meets the Clinical Criteria for DMH Services outlined under 104 CMR 29. DMH provides mental health services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Applications for services are available online, but it is strongly recommended to contact your insurance provider about mental health services before taking the time to apply for DMH services.
Who can make a referral? If an individual meets the Clinical Criteria for DMH Services outlined in 104 CMR 29, they may be eligible for services through the Department of Mental Health. The individual or guardian can apply by filling out an application and submitting it to the Department of Mental Health.

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) works in partnership with families and communities to keep children safe from abuse and neglect. In most cases, DCF is able to provide supports and services to keep children safe with parents or family members. When necessary, DCF provides foster care or finds new permanent families for children through kinship, guardianship or adoption.
