Community Service
Community service hours are not required for graduation but are a great opportunity to give back to your community! The following information is for those seeking to earn a Community Service Certificate at the end of the school year.
Community service activities are defined as those activities which assist other people or the community itself for which the student receives neither pay nor academic credit.
Activities must be monitored and verified by an adult other than the student's parent.
Eighty (80) hours of verified community service are required to earn a Community Service Certificate.
Beginning May 2021, service hours will be limited to 10 hours per day.
Community Service Cards are eligible for certificate based on hours from May 1 - May 1
The student may meet the requirements of this project either through one particular activity or through a variety of activities.
Community service cards must be obtained PRIOR TO the project or hours being performed.
Cards must be returned to Ms. Carpenter in the Counseling Office by May 1st of each year in order to receive a Community Service Certificate.
Community Service cards can be picked up in the Guidance Office from Ms. Carpenter or Mrs. Cain.
