Welcome to the STEAMagination Lab!
At the heart of Homestead Elementary's innovation efforts is the STEAM Lab, a space where curiosity and creativity thrive!
Our STEAM Lab is designed to inspire students through hands-on, minds-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. We'll bring exciting updates, challenges and resources to spark curiosity and develop future-ready skills.

Our CreateSpace, which is our makerspace, is open for students to imagine and create! We've designed two engaging, hands-on activities, complete with easy-to-follow instructions, so students can work together. But hurry - each challenge will only be around for a little while, so don't miss out on the fun!
Best of all, students can either take home their creations or leave them in the lab for display to inspire others! We recommend 2 - 4 students per bin.
And remember: "When you're done and had fun, clean up so it's ready for everyone! Put things back and don't waste a bit, keep it neat for the next great kit!"
Our Card-struction Area is now stocked with cardboard, toilet paper rolls, new bolts and tools to help students construct incredible structures using cardboard and connectors! This space allows students to experiment with building techniques, engineering principles, and structural integrity in a fun, hands-on way.
Encourage your students to come by and start building their own towers, bridges or creative cardboard constructions.
3Doodler Pens are now available located on the back wall. These pens allow students to create 3D models by frawing with filament. However, please use the pens with caution and take care not to jam the filament refills into the pens. The filaments are very delicate and can break easily, so be gentle while handling them. If you need assistance, feel free to reach out to a STEAM Team member.
