We celebrated Cook Islands Language Week with tīvaevae art, making ei katu, and reading A Quilt for Kiri.
We also enjoyed Tongan Language Week and Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, learning new phrases, songs, and crafts.
Other highlights were Cross Country, Dance workshops, and making sun catchers.
Term 2
Manaakitanga (Care)
Supporting each other on the learning journey.
In Term 2, we are exploring Manaakitanga by learning how to care for ourselves and others. Through our theme "Healthy Me, Strong Me", we are making healthy food choices, creating balanced lunchboxes, and learning how being healthy helps us stay strong, happy, and ready to learn!

Term 1
Māramatanga – Illuminating the Path to Knowledge or Illuminating my/our potential
In Term 1, we focused on Māramatanga, which means shining a light on our learning and potential. We explored this by participating in the Aroha Festival, where every student performed dances from different cultures around the world. Through this celebration, we learned to respect and embrace diversity, work as a team, and express ourselves with confidence. The Aroha Festival helped us follow the path of others and discover more about who we are.
