Carnival of the Animals

Camille Saint-Saens, 1886

We have been learning about this fun musical composition by French composer, Camille Saint-Saens. It is made up of fourteen small songs called movements, and each movement was written to sound like a different animal. After each listening session, the students reflect on what they notice about the movement and how it makes them feel and then record their responses in their individually decorated journals. Then, we vote on our favorites!
