2nd Grade
Carnival of the Animals
Camille Saint-Saens, 1886
We have been learning about this fun musical composition by French composer, Camille Saint-Saens. It is made up of fourteen small songs called movements, and each movement was written to sound like a different animal. After each listening session, the students reflect on what they notice about the movement and how it makes them feel and then record their responses in their individually decorated journals. Then, we vote on our favorites!

All About Hawaii
Second grade learned about Hawaiian music and dance. Mrs. Levi's friend, Mrs. Morgan, grew up in Hawaii and made a special video for our second grade answering their questions about Hawaii and demonstrating some of her favorite instruments!
