Code of Conduct

All regulations and requirements concerning Holy Family School’s Code of Conduct outlined in the school Handbook as to student behavioral expectations are in force for BeforeCare as well.

Electronic Devices -- For safety reasons, the use by students of cell phones or other personal electronic devices is not permitted in AfterCare. This includes cell phone contact with parents. If there is an extraordinary need to speak directly with your child, you may contact CARES at 610 494-0147 ext. 6.

Food -- Breakfast or snacks are not permitted during BeforeCare. Students should have eaten a healthy breakfast prior to arriving.

Personal Items -- It is CARES policy that no toys or personal items be brought from home for use in BeforeCare. CARES staff does not guarantee any personal toy or item brought in to CARES from loss or damage. Sometimes students bring in personal items for classroom activities. We advise that you instruct your child not to take these items out of their backpacks during BeforeCare as it is certain that other students (especially younger ones) will want to handle and play with these items. Other items not permitted include trading cards and "snap" bracelets. Personal water bottles are for lunchtime only and must be stored in lunchboxes or backpacks while attending CARES. Students are afforded ample access to water for hydration.

Uniforms -- All school uniform policies remain in effect during CARES hours. Shoes must remain on at all times.

Use of CARES Services -- The CARES Program is an extra service offered for Holy Family School students. However, these services are not guaranteed to every student under every circumstance. In the event that a student’s behavior becomes disruptive and/or dangerous to the safety and well-being of any of the students or staff in the CARES Program, the disruptive student may not be permitted continue use of the CARES Program. This determination is made at the discretion of CARES staff and the school principal. Non-payment for services or a pattern of after closing, late pick-ups (AfterCare) are other reasons for suspensions of CARES services.

Please address any concerns regarding inappropriate or unsafe behavior effecting your child or that of another child with CARES staff.
