We are from rice and beans, pocket breads,
lasagna, mac and cheese, sushi, tacos,
and Sazón potatoes.
We are from performing and crafting,
playing with cousins,
and making new friends.
We are from beaches, playgrounds,
and being outside.
We are from school, home,
and STEM class.
We are from soccer, volleyball, dancing, gymnastics,
and roller skating.
We are from trampoline parks and malls.
We are from reading, singing,
and having fun.
We are from butterflies.
We are from hugs and kisses.
We are from our best friends.
