One trick is to begin recording "live" in your classrooms--for example, rather than going over 10 problems / examples in each class, you could go over the first two in your first class, then the next two in your 2nd class, etc., and by the end of the day you would have all 10 problems / examples posted to your course website!
This way, you can still review / cover key ideas, but then free up valuable class time to do active learning activities, or to engage students 1-on-1 or in small groups to help personalize and individualize the learning process!
Cool "power trick" to take flipping & engagement to the next level!
One cool thing about flipped learning is you might start getting "thank yous" from students and teachers from around your school and even from other schools!
Early in my journey I was flattered to be offered to have another teacher purchase my videos, but in the spirit of sharing I decided the right thing to do would be to help a fellow educator who wanted to try something new late in his career to help his students!
