School Uniform

The Hinds Board of Trustees and Hinds Uniform Committee  have  reviewed the Hinds School uniform with our community.  In 2021 the sports top was upgraded a school jacket was introduced.   Please see below our updated  daily uniform and the transition phase.

We have some limited items of second hand uniforms available at the Office to assist with starting at Hinds School.   Please enquire when you enrol your child.  The second hand uniforms are actively used by all students and whānau are very good at sending in outgrown items.  

The Hinds School uniform is compulsory.  (Please note we are phasing out the current green shorts, green track pants and red polo tops. These will be phased out by the end of 2025. ) 

   Green school jacket (purchased through the school office) 

   Green quarter zip tunic sweatshirt or quarter zip merino jumper (purchased through Mainland Uniforms)

      Plain navy trackpants/ shorts/ skort (can also be purchased through Mainland Uniforms)

               Navy Canterbury Boys Tactic shorts or Canterbury  K Club plain taper leg cuffed navy trackpants are an acceptable option for all students

               Emerald Green Polo Shirt, available from September 2024 (purchased through Mainland Uniforms). Please note in the meantime a plain red          polo is to be worn

               Navy socks or tights 

               Sports shoes. Please note jandals and Crocs are unacceptable 

                Plain green sun hat (purchased from the Warehouse.) These need to be worn in Term 1 and Term 4. Responsibility of parents

                Sports Uniform sports top (provided by school) and navy shorts

Fluro vests: Students are required to wear their fluro vest on the bus, if they are walking or biking to and from school.  Please ensure your child has a vest on as they are much safer. Vests are held by the School and allocated when your child starts school. Replacements can be purchased at the Warehouse. We are grateful for the local sponsorship we get towards fluro vests.
