Cal- Soap
Cal- Soap
Cal-SOAP is funded by CSAC (California Student Aid Commission) and is instrumental in improving the flow of information about postsecondary education and financial aid while raising the achievement levels of low-income, elementary and secondary school students.
Today, Cal-SOAP projects operate in sixteen locations throughout the state by consortia of secondary and postsecondary schools and community agencies.
A statewide initiative called Cal-SOAP aims to boost the number of students who pursue higher education. We are dedicated to giving students and their families access to financial and academic information and support to ensure their success in school, especially those who have been identified as coming from low-income families, being first-generation college students, or coming from communities or institutions with low rates of college eligibility or participation. To do this we provide some of the following services.
Financial Aid Application Assistance
Provide Financial Aid Information
College Application Assistance
College Awareness & Planning
College Guidance & Advisement
