Please follow the video for directions on setting up a consistent Google Meet link:
If you have any old Google Meet links posted to Classroom or Calendar, please delete them.
Go to meet.google.com and click Start a Meeting.
Copy the new Meet link.
Go to calendar.google.com
Create new event:
Select the calendar from your Google Classroom, not your personal calendar.
Give it a title, choose a time, repeat weekly if desired.
Click Add Google Meet video conferencing.
Click on Meeting Details (looks like a v)
Tap pencil to edit Meeting ID; paste that link you created in step 3.
Those are the essential steps. If you want to add the new Meet link to Google Classroom, awesome! Here's how:
Go to classroom.google.com and click on your class.
Click on Gear/Settings.
Under section, paste new Meet link.
Scroll down to Meet; ensure Meet link with lookup is not visible to students.
Click on classwork.
Click Create > Material.
Give it a Title like "Google Meet".
Click Add > Link. Paste new Meet link.
On right, click Topic > Create Topic like "1 Google Meet"

Ask students to mute upon entering the meeting.
Check that your audio input/output are set correctly: Tap on "three dots" and check audio input/output.
