Qualifications 

What is the criteria to be a Mentor?

To mentor a participant in the Intern or Induction Program, the following minimum criteria must be met:

• Valid California Teaching Credential with English Learner (EL) Authorization or CLAD certificate.

• Three + years of successful teaching experience

• Recommendation from School Director/Principal

• Ability to communicate effectively, model appropriate teaching strategies, and collaborate with colleagues. 

• Same school site and/or same subject area (preferred)

• Registering as a mentor
