For my very first day, I was admittedly rather quiet, I wanted to help as much as I can, and when I introduced myself I made sure I wasnt stiff, and I was inviting so the children would have a good first impression on me. HTeX, gives education through projects and entertainment. I see this reflected through myself, and others that have graduated from HTeX around me. This education is vital, as it is what gets us started in life, its how we learn sounds, and words, its how we make connections to the real world, it's how we learn about the world.
On Thursday, the students wrote about parts of their life that fit into multiple different categories, I filled in my own sheet a long with them.
Throughout my first week of Internship with Ms.Nikki, I made a special friend in a student named JJ, my very first day here, JJ drew me a drawing of us two catching Pokemon. Ms Nikki said that when I left on my first day, JJ was already asking when I would be back! This was a shock to me, as I only told him what my favorite dinosaur was when I was introducing myself. JJ likes to give me complex math equations to solve. The community around the school, especially as I notice in each classroom, is very strong. Mostly the students rely on the teacher, but I love seeing them help each other. I really hope that in my further weeks to come, I can become a strong link in this community.
