This is the classroom in which I worked, each week they would move around tables. The carpet in the center was for group lessons, and they would be handed paperwork to go do at their tables. A lot of the times, the students that really liked me really wanted to sit next to me rather than on the carpet. While I thought it was sweet, they still needed to sit on the carpet for lessons!
This is a poster in the class, listing each of the kids names and their corresponding number. Each number had its own designated chromebook. The clip chart next to it, gave the kids jobs to do around the classroom, some jobs more used than others. I made sure I memorized the name of each student in the class.
This photo is of me giving an in class lesson for my project. The lesson was about designing clocks (Seen in the photo below,) the slide is talking about what not to design on your clock, the students gave very good answers! After this lesson, the students seemed mroe receptive to me offering to help, and they warmed up to me more
This is an example of the clocks the students designed. A lot of which had influence from media they've seen online, or games they've played (Fortnite for instance.) This one I thought was very interesting. A lot of the times I noticed the kids in class talking about things they should definitely not know at eight years old, such as Squid Game, and other internet memes that were too mature for them.
