School uniform
School uniform is an important part of our high standards and expectations.
If you are in any doubt about the suitability of your uniform, please check with staff. If you are buying new items, please keep the receipt.
Please note that Kicker shoes, but not Kicker boots are allowed. Shoes should be smart and an appropriate tie, according to houses:
Beech, Oak, Rowan or Willow must be worn by boys.
Students are expected to only wear a full PE kit that has been purchased from our suppliers John Lyon or Smith’s.

Highlands rugby shirt (optional)
Highlands school black tracksuit bottoms
Highlands black shorts / Highlands skort
Highlands black sports leggings
Highlands school black rugby socks outdoor lessons or plain white socks indoor lessons
Shin pads
Non-marking trainers. Converse style trainers are not allowed.
Football boots for lessons on the field (winter period only)
Students are not allowed to wear any other kit
Uniform rules:
Blazer and shirt sleeves unrolled
Skirts worn full length, modestly, just above the knee
Shirts fully buttoned up and tucked in
Ties worn down to the waist
White t-shirts (if required) not visible. No other coloured t-shirts
Black coloured belts only and black shoelaces
No Kicker boots, trainers, converse style or plimsolls of any kind
No extreme hair styles, hair colours, shavings, or tracks (including eyebrows)
No piercings other than a single ear stud
No nail extensions, false eye lashes or coloured nail varnish
No inappropriate trousers – they must be a traditional tailored style
