Course Overview

The BTEC Extended Certificate in Business gives you the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the business sector and that are required for further or higher education. You will study specific topics including marketing, international business, management and finance. You will develop a number of transferable skills, including the ability to work independently, to undertake methodical research and to work effectively in a group.

Managing an Event
International Business
Principles of Management
Recruitment and Selection Process
Market Research

Units will be assessed either by written exam, by carrying out a task under supervision, or by the completion of written assignments.

This qualification can lead on to a number of university courses, higher level apprenticeships or directly into employment. Areas of employment could include marketing, events management,

human resources, administration and finance.
