The Henry County Early Childhood Center is now scheduling preschool & early entrance to Kindergarten screenings for the 2026-27 school year! Screenings will be conducted at the Henry County Early Childhood Center on Friday April 24, 2026 & Monday May 18, 2026.

Please use this link https://forms.gle/6cMfFeFPofsMKsVU6 to schedule your child for a preschool or early K screening today!  If you have questions about a preschool or early K screening, please call 502-845-8656.

Once your child is scheduled for a screening you can begin to prepare by getting the following documents together or make the necessary appointments. All applicants must provide:

• Proof of Income*

• Proof of Residency

• Official Birth Certificate

• Social Security Card (optional)

• Up-to-date Immunization Certificate

• School Entry Physical

• Eye-exam (completed by an eye doctor)

• Dental exam (head start and early K only)

*Required the day of the screening; all other documentation will be uploaded into your online registration application. Information about the online registration application will be emailed 1 week prior to the screening.

Preschool (4 years old by 8/1/2026)

Early Entrance for Kindergarten (5 years old after 8/1/2026 but before 10/2/2026)

Students wishing to be screened for Early Entrance to Kindergarten MUST be seen at one of these two screenings.
