HCECC Specific Information

Henry County’s preschool program is a 4 day per week program (Monday through Thursday). We are in session all day with bus drop off beginning at 7:45 AM. Our last buses pick up our students at 3:35 PM. HCECC is centrally located at 182 S. Property Road, New Castle KY, allowing students to be transported from all areas in the county with ease. Bus monitors are on each bus to ensure that the children get from the bus to an adult at school and from the bus to an adult at home. Our current program contains 5 preschool classrooms and 2 Head Start classrooms.

The focus of the preschool program is early reading and math skills which are taught throughout the school day using a variety of hands-on activities and adult-child interactions that encourage children to develop their communication and reasoning skills. Our classrooms are equipped with Smart Board technology and sound field systems which increase student attention on the teacher while they are talking.
