Use at Home

While at school, the Chromebooks are automatically configured to connect to the HC_CrOS Wi-Fi network. However, when you are at home or otherwise away from school, you will need to connect to other available networks. To connect, click in the lower right-hand status area and select the network menu.

Chromebooks are configured to use the school's Internet filtering software, no matter if the Chromebook is being used at school, away from school, or using a cell phone's hotspot.

If you do not have Internet at home, you will want to make any google documents needed for homework available for working offline. In your Google Drive settings on your Chromebook, select to "Sync Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Drawings files to this computer so that you can edit offline. This will allow the most recently accessed files to be accessed. Be sure that if something was assigned to you in Google Classroom, to open the file before you leave school so that you have access.
