This year, we'll continue to strengthen the musical foundation you've built, exploring new and exciting musical styles. 7th Grade Band builds on foundational skills, introduces diverse musical styles, and emphasizes teamwork. Students will perform in school concerts and must purchase the band polo. Select 7th grade students will have the opportunity to march with the high school band in the spring semester after LGPE. We focus on growth and musical development.

Welcome to the 8th Grade Band at McDonough Middle School! This is a pivotal year for our musicians as we continue to refine our skills and explore more challenging musical concepts. 8th Grade Band focuses on advanced musical skills, diverse repertoire, and leadership development, preparing students for high school band. Performance opportunities include school concerts and, for qualifying students, marching with the McDonough High School Band.
