About me
Hi! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Mrs. Emily Robinson, formally Ms. Sutton, and I'm the instructor for the Veterinary Science Pathway.
Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up riding horses and taking care of all the neighborhood pets—from dogs and cats to just about anything with fur or feathers! That lifelong love turned into a career, and I'm grateful every day to share that passion with my students (and their families).
At home, I stay busy with a fun and furry crew:
Left – my energetic Australian Shepherd
Tinker – a feisty little Chihuahua
Knox – our bird loving Cocker Spaniel
Bubba – my old, reliable Quarter Horse gelding
Joker – a colorful Paint gelding with plenty of personality
I also have a wonderful middle school-aged daughter and a supportive husband who cheers me on in all things animal science.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a focus on Livestock Production and Management, as well as my Georgia Teaching Certification from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College—Go Stallions! My education and hands-on experience have prepared me well to support students pursuing careers in veterinary science, animal care, and agriculture.
Professionally, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside both small and large animal veterinarians, gaining valuable experience in a wide range of animal care practices. I’m certified in Artificial Insemination (AI) and have successfully AI’d both dogs and cattle. In addition, I’ve been grooming dogs for the past five years—an experience that I now love using to help students build real-world skills through our on-campus grooming business, Barks and Bubbles.
I truly enjoy teaching and mentoring students, helping them gain confidence and hands-on experience in the animal science field. Whether your goal is veterinary medicine, grooming, agriculture, or just learning more about animals, I’m here to help support and guide you every step of the way.
I look forward to a fantastic year ahead in the Veterinary Science Pathway!
