Students explore nutrition principles, meal planning, and the relationship between food choices and overall well‑being. The course emphasizes hands‑on practice, safe food handling, and wellness habits that support success at home, at school, and in the community.

In this course students explore the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of children from prenatal stages through adolescence. Emphasis is placed on understanding developmental milestones, factors that influence growth, and the role of caregivers and educators in supporting healthy development. Students analyze real‑world scenarios, observe developmental patterns, and apply research‑based practices to understand how children learn and grow.
