Understanding your Recertification Record:

All recertification points that were submitted to either the Office of Professional Learning & Leadership or Human Resources- Licensure  prior to 4/9/2021 were manually entered into the Oracle database. These points are at the very bottom of the PSPL Transcript page in the Credit Bank channel in the bankable column. 

You will then go up to My Transcript channel and filter from your license issue date to your license expiration date. These dates are located in the Credential Status channel. You will add the two sets of recertification points to get your total.

When you are up for renewal the HR Licensure Office will review both of your transcripts to ensure we do not count any duplicate points. Please note, once your license is renewed you will no longer have points in the Credit Bank and all recertification points will be in your PSPL Transcript only.

 External Credit Requests:

For professional development activities outside of HCPS (i.e.: college coursework, conference, etc.) submit an External Credit Request in PowerSchool Professional Learning to have documents reviewed for recertification points.

Reminder: If submitting an ECR for college courses please upload an official transcript. Retain the original transcript. An official transcript will need to be sent to the licensure office only if adding degree or an endorsement to a VDOE License.

 Adding a degree and/or endorsement:

To add a degree and/or endorsement to a VDOE License, please complete the HCPS License Change Request Form.

Please send the form and appropriate document(s) to our licensure office.

Name Change/Address Change:

To change a name on a VDOE license or an address on file with the VDOE, please complete the Name Change/Address

Change Form . Please send the completed form to our licensure office.
