Mission and Vision

Mission

The mission of the Quioccasin Middle School counseling program aligns with the mission statement of Quioccasin Middle School which is to foster opportunities, celebrate diversity, and empower one another to promote growth while building inclusive community. We strive to ensure that all students are finding ways to feel connected; all students are being challenged by new learning and experiences; and all students know that they have a champion they can turn to.  School counselors provide a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and social/emotional needs of all students. Together with students, staff, parents and community members, school counselors facilitate a positive, supportive and culturally sensitive program that ensures our school community has options and opportunities that meet the diverse needs and interests of our students. 

Vision

The students of Quioccasin Middle School are a diverse group of hardworking, dedicated individuals who recognize their potential. Their perseverance and resilience will enable them to overcome the challenges they will face inside and outside the classroom as they navigate an ever-changing world. Students will be prepared to earn (career), enlist (military), or enroll (post-secondary education) in order to be successful in a competitive 21st century workforce. All students, regardless of their background, will enter adulthood equipped with a vision of their own futures.
