Mental Health Workshop for Parents and Caregivers - mental health and middle school students
HCPS is committed to supporting the mental and emotional well-being of our community, and we wanted to highlight the people and resources available to your students — as well as you and your families:
School-based mental health providers, which include school counselors, school psychologists and school social workers, are available to support students at all HCPS schools and programs. You can find full mental health staff lists for elementary schools, middle schools and high schools on our website.
Care Solace provides students, staff and families with confidential, multilingual care coordinators available 24/7/365 who can navigate the mental health system on their behalf — available at no cost. Care coordinators research mental health care/substance use treatment providers matching any needs and preferences, quickly secure appointments, and follow-up to make sure it was a good fit!
Resources from Care Solace - supporting your child in the following areas: stress, self-esteem, separation/divorce, death/grief, mental health, and healthy friendships, and other resources
Cameron’s Collection includes two free collections of e-books on a variety of developmentally appropriate topics related to student mental health and wellness. Collections are available to all students (by level) as well as parents/guardians and can be utilized as an instructional resource by school counselors, teachers, and other staff, as appropriate. All access is anonymous and reading selections are completely private.
