Important Dates to Remember
Regional Fairs
March 4, 2022
Location: Highland Springs High School
The Regional Fair conferences offered the first opportunity for our chapter to develop their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) applications through competitive events offered at the conference.
Whoever earned first, second, or third place and those who place top within a particular range were invited to compete in the state leadership conference, Technosphere. During the conference, each region hears speeches from regional officer candidates and voting delegates elected by each chapter to elect the region’s executive council.
All pictures under Regionals is from the 21'-22' school year.
It was with great pleasure to see Jenae' Robinson-Hopkins win 1st place in the Career Prep category during the 21'-22' school year. She was awarded the opportunity to compete at the state level. Congratulations Jenae'!

STATE TECHNOSPHERE 2022
State Competition
Apr 28 - May 01, 2022
Location: Hampton Roads Convention Center, Hampton VA
The Technosphere Conference is the highlight of the Virginia TSA year and provides an incredible opportunity for members to compete, lead, and learn through competitive events for middle and high school students, leadership workshops and officer campaigning, and other special events. Members gain experience and insight through networking with other students, teachers, parents, and members of the business community. These interactions throughout the Technosphere strengthen the goals of innovation and collaboration through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.
Last school year (21-22), our chapter competed in Career Prep and Chapter Team. Elko placed 2nd in the state for Chapter Team. This was Elko's first year in over 10 years where the school has competed at the state level for any category. What a way to come back after a long hiatus and compete against others in the state!

2022 National TSA Conference
June 26 - June 30, 2022
Theme: "Discover Your Journey"
Location: Dallas, Texas

Though we had the opportunity to compete at nationals because of our win at state, we decided to pass up the opportunity, regroup and plan for next year. It was a lot to get this chapter started from the ground up. It saw it best to end strong and compete again next year along with more categories. We look forward to the 22-23 school year and look forward to having more members in our chapter! Will you be one?
