Auto Tech II students completed various skills challenges at the CTE Rodeo where they did part identification, diagnostic analysis, tire repair, brake replacement and a state inspection.
Early Childhood Education II students presented preschool lesson plans to a panel of judges at the second annual CTE Rodeo. Students showcased their ability to plan and implement large and small group activities geared toward 3-4 year olds.
Cosmetology III Students participated in the HCPS Annual Life Ready Career Rodeo Skills Challenge 2022. Potential employers were on site to view our students skills while they performed every day hair styles and then elegant evening styles. Potential employers requested resumes for almost all of the Cosmetology III students. Many of the Cosmetology III students will obtain employment at national salon chains and local salons from this great opportunity.
Automotive Technology Year 2 students have been busy learning how to repair tires. This student is completing a tire patch repair.
In collaboration with Computer Systems students, Automotive students got to explore resources provided by the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) this past week to learn more about the many programs they offer for students.

Cosmetology I & III students made original Valentine’s Day cards with encouraging and thoughtful messages for 96 residents and 32 staff members at Lakewood Manor! Special thanks also to Ms. Allen and the Day 1 Nurse Aide students for delivering the cards to residents and staff with whom they have built strong relationships as they participated in clinicals. Thank you to all for spreading love, kindness, and compassion on behalf of the whole ACE Center at Highland Springs!

Auto Body Repair students have been working hard prepping this Pontiac Firebird for paint. We've been learning taping, sanding, and other preparation techniques.
Cosmetology I students finished out the 9 weeks completing Manicures and Pedicures on each other. They had a blast working in the lab and completing skills!
Automotive Body & Repair students have been working on a sanding and prepping a boat for paint. This has been a new experience as they are learning how to interact with gel coatings and consider how to lift a boat off the trailer to paint the bottom side.
Auto Body Repair 1st Year students have been learning about automotive wrap. This project involved a White Ford Mustang with wrap that was in poor condition due to wear and poor quality. Students learned how to remove the wrap to restore it to it's original color of red. Next they will paint this vehicle for the client.
