The Cosmetology Program at the ACE Center at Highland Springs offers students the ability to learn manicures, pedicures, paraffin treatments, scalp massage, hand and foot massage, facials, facial makeup, shampooing, haircuts, hair styling, waxing, braiding, permanent waving, relaxing techniques, wig care, haircoloring, highlighting, artificial nails, and artificial lashes. Students will have the opportunity to practice and develop these skills in a hands-on lab environment.

Cosmetology provides students with a unique mentorship program to gain salon experience.
Students have the opportunity to join SkillsUSA and participate in various competitions that showcase their abilities.
My name is P. Cynthia Williams, I have been teaching at the ACE Center @ Highland Springs for 21 years as the Lead Teacher for Cosmetology II. I graduated from the ACE Center @ Hermitage High Cosmetology Program many years ago. I have worked in the industry for over 30 years as a business owner, manager and stylist. I decided to switch career in order to be able to give back and support the future generation of cosmetologist. I am excited about continue to encourage the students to push through all the challenges to reach their goal as a license cosmetologist.

My name is Julie Childress, I have been teaching at the ACE Center at Highland Springs for 25 years as the Cosmetology I Lead Teacher. I graduated from Henrico High School and The ACE Center at Highland Springs in the Cosmetology program. After years of working as a stylist in the salon, I decided I wanted to make a difference in student's lives by teaching Cosmetology. My experience includes being a licensed Cosmetologist for over 30 years, salon owner, teacher and mentor. I take the responsibility of preparing students for the salon and the Cosmetology state board exam very seriously. I am excited to start this new year with a wonderful, new group of students!
