Christopher Ott is the Social Studies teacher for the Academy at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, New York. He is also the Class of 2026 advisor, and a member of the Hendrick Hudson Seal of Civic Readiness Committee.
Christopher’s teaching philosophy emphasizes the connectedness between social studies and literacy education. He strives to create a learning environment where students develop the skills to critically read, think, and communicate about historical and contemporary issues, with the goal of preparing them for academic success alongside being active, informed citizens in today's society.
Christopher received his BS in social sciences and adolescent education from St. Thomas Aquinas College, and his MS Ed. in Literacy Education from SUNY New Paltz. When not in school, he enjoys being active by walking his dog, Freya, going to the gym, and traveling.
