All Academy students are challenged and supported to excel in an environment that maintains the same rigor of all NYS Regents students while focusing on student-teacher and student-student connections. As with all Hendrick Hudson students, Academy students must take their required Regents tests and earn twenty two credits, which then allows them to graduate with a Regents diploma.
Academy students take their core-four courses (Science, Math, History, and English) in the Academy spaces. Students' electives, language courses, music courses, tech, or other classes take place in the general school spaces.
Students are not isolated from their peers; in essence, the Academy serves as a foundation for their academic day. We provide a safe, welcoming environment, and students are able to return to their "home away from home" throughout the day. Students are encouraged to take part in all Hendrick Hudson activities, extra-curricular sports and clubs, and to be a part of the high school community.
