Helga advocates students legitimately. But what does advocacy mean?
We at Helga want to secure and support the students of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences on their educational journey by making sure that they are able to study in fair conditions with good communications, equal treatment and appropriate courses. We are the voice of the students – in the UAS, on the municipal and national level.
What’s Wrong? is Helga’s feedback service for students. You can give us feedback regarding your studies if something goes wrong, for example your course has not been graded in time (3 weeks).
Helga’s specialist in advocacy will help you solve problematic situations. Please try to be as specific as you can. Every detail helps with solving the situation. If you want us to contact you, please leave at least your e-mail address.
All feedback is dealt with utmost confidence. Your name or contact info will not be given forward – actually you don’t even have to give them to us.
Have you experienced harassment or inappropriate treatment? Contact our harassment contact persons via a contact form or via email at harassment@helga.fi.

Via the study module Haaga-Helia has also committed to The Society’s Commitment to Sustainable Development.
Implementation
The study module consists of four different paths. Every path has lectures once a month. Please note that the lectures are mainly being held in Finnish for now. The path in English is under planning at the moment.
Paths can be combined and are as follows:

Two is for more advanced.
Chairperson is for chairpersons.
Career in organisations is for interested.
Credits can be earned from lectures, Eetvartti events, Megaevakko and by practical experience.

One does not have to enroll in the study module apart from the Career in organisations -path. Paths One, Two and Chairperson are per se meant for boards of the student union and student organisations, members of the Representative Council and student representatives. The Career in Organisations -path is open for every student interested in Haaga-Helia.
