8th grade Volleyball tryouts: 

When: Third day of school Friday August 15th 2:45-5pm. Tryouts will continue each day until each athlete receives confirmation they have made the team or they have not.

Tryouts will consist of skills testing (passing, serving, and setting), conditioning, attitude and agilities.

For 7th & 8th grade there will be a team 2 of 10-14 players and a team 1 of 10-12 players. Games will usually be on Mondays after school with 1-2 tournaments per team. Once team selections are made, information will be sent out about a mandatory parent meeting to pass along more information. Any girl who does not make the team will be in the off-season program to prepare for the next upcoming sport. Your BJH athletic uniform, black volleyball spandex and white volleyball kneepads will be needed if you make the team. Volleyball shoes are an advantage but optional. 

We encourage all incoming 7th graders and 8th graders to attend the Bell Volleyball camp or club camp to get ready for the  season. 

You could also get a team of incoming or existing BJH athletes together and enter a summer volleyball league. All physicals and online paperwork need to be completed to tryout. Please contact michaelwinborne@hebisd.edu if you have any questions.
