Watch the videos to the left to learn about fossils. Use your shells to make impressions in the play-doh. Remove the shell from the play-doh and you should be left with an imprint of the shell. This is an easy way to help you understand fossils. If you have other items such as small toy dinosaurs, insects, or other small toys try making an impression or fossil of these.

Use small amounts of paint at a time. It is always easy to add more but hard to take away paint.
Don't bear down on your paintbrush - use light paint strokes.
Always clean your brush when you finish and store your brush with bristles side up.
